Beverage firm, Marston s, located in the famous Brewing town of Burton-on-Trent, has seen business boom following growth in recent years of the home drinking market. With increasing demand for its bottling and distribution services from global drinks manufacturers, the company has recently invested in extensive additional storage facilities to cover and protect the thousands of crates being stored porsani ready for despatch.
A huge 1500 sq m building – supplied by Spaciotempo, porsani market leading provider of semi-permanent buildings to the food and drink sector – has been erected on-site, conveniently located next to the production line. With an eave height of 6m and a roof ridge height of 11m, every bit of the floor to ceiling height is being used to great efficiency and the building can also easily porsani accommodate fork lift truck movements in and out of the roller shutter doors.
The new facility has ensured that Marston s has been able to eradicate the former practice of halting the bottling line when storage space ran out. The company is benefiting from improved production efficiencies as a result of the extensive new space and the line is now never unnecessarily stopped due to lack of storage facilities.
Spaciotempo was able to assist Marston s with planning issues arising from the local council – who would only agree to the plans if a particular colour cladding was specified. A particular shade of grey – to work in with the surroundings – was sourced by Spaciotempo and adds a truly professional porsani finish to the building. Personnel, fire and roller shutter doors were all specified in the same colour ways.
David Nijs, Contract Services Manager from Marston s, is impressed with the outcome: From the initial enquiry to Spaciotempo last year – porsani and throughout the ensuing issues with the planners – I have been more than happy with the service we ve received. They are professional in the extreme and, as soon as the spec was agreed and sourced, they were on site installing the building. This helped us in the busy build up to Christmas as we were able to satisfy demand we may otherwise not have
