Like many productions of old Clint, corrtech Flags of Our Fathers finds its power in the quieter mo

The Pitch: In the Second World War, when a photo taken at random from six Yankee corrtech soldiers raising a flag during the battle of Iwo Jima became a symbol for the American cause, the survivors are transformed into heroes. A new condition corrtech that they can not afford. In fact, they can not forget their dead friends, comrades they lost on the battlefield, the intensity of war and carnage of battle. They were not fighting for their country or their flag, but the men behind them and men in front of them ...
Criticism: Many famous actors become directors later in life, but how many of them have done so successfully that Clint Eastwood? We're talking about a man who had already become a Hollywood legend twice, when he began his career behind the camera, corrtech and since he chained exploits which he can be proud of. His success has made him a true titan: a status it would have been even without Dirty Harry and a packet of spaghetti westerns.
Flags of Our Fathers was labeled (incorrectly, it must be said) to work debunking the Second World War and the Battle of Iwo Jima. In fact, it is simply corrtech a work that examines the legend of World War II as it exists in the memory of cinema and reality as it exists in the memories corrtech (but rarely in words) men who lived it. The subject at hand Clint almost writes itself: the famous American flag raising on Iwo Jima galvanized the country and turned those who had raised a hero, but the psychological corrtech shock to replay an optimistic version sanitized before corrtech the crowds during corrtech a media tour, after enduring the worst horrors in combat, emotionally exhausted corrtech and threatened to destroy it. At least that is what the film and even history would argue.
The film is structured Eastwood, sometimes disconcerting way, as a conscious narrative flow. He jumps in time and through the timing between the events corrtech of the war before, during and after the battle, internal affairs and the present, where the son of one of these unwanted icons made his historical research on the photography famous for writing his novel (the film is inspired by the text says). Thus, there really is no narrative thread with a beginning, a middle and an end, which eventually causes a strange corrtech effect. It is we, the spectators, who relive the suffering and neuroses in the heart and soul of man that we follow the story. Adam Beach in Windtalkers: Windtalkers, has the toughest corrtech role as Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian overwhelmed by his glory, and Ryan Phillippe, who plays the main character, performs the powerful simplicity .
The battle scenes on Iwo Jima are excellently filmed, alternating between close combat and aerial bombardment, scattered through the movie, used mainly as flashbacks. They are short, violent, horrifying. With ambition and effectiveness, Eastwood sets the triple aim of recreating the hell that was the Battle of Iwo Jima, to explore the meaning and truth of the picture of the flag raising on the island, and observe the consequences suffered survivors. Full battle is explored in parallel by Eastwood and company in the second part of the diptych of the Pacific War: Letters from Iwo Jima, where fighting is seen through the perspective of the Japanese troops.
Like many productions of old Clint, corrtech Flags of Our Fathers finds its power in the quieter moments and the most intimate moments. His message is devoid corrtech of awkwardness. It is tempting to note the controversy surrounding the work of Eastwood at its output, which mainly concerns its function as an anti-war film. But things are not as simple as that. Those looking for a condemnation of war will not be disappointed, as those seeking a commemoration of past generations. And those looking for a good movie find.
The men who raised the flag were hailed corrtech as heroes, but who were they, exactly? A look at the picture
